Day 1 : Haridwar – Sitapur / Guptakshi (210 kms drive / 6-7 hrs)

On arrival at Haridwar Railway Station, meet and greetour representative and proceed to Sitapur/Guptakashi via Rudraprayag. Visit Devprayag, one among Panch Prayag, and visit Ardh Narishwar Temple in Guptkashi. By passing through the beautiful Himalayan Hills and Gangetic Ganga river, the drive will be a remembered one in a lifetime. By reaching Sitapur/Guptakashi and checking in to the hotel for an overnight stay with dinner.

Guptakashi: located at an elevation of 1,319 metres (4,327 ft) in the Kedar-khanda, this town is highly auspicious in Hinduism. It is so popular because of the two ancient temples. The first one is the Vishwanath temple, which is in the name of Lord Shiva, and the second one is a temple where Lord Shiva is in his Ardhnarishwar form. Also, this place has great relations with the Mahabharata Kaal and Pandavas. It belongs to the time when, after the Mahabharata battle, the Pandavas were searching for Lord Shiva so as to get forgiveness for the killings of their cousins.

Guptkashi Weather: The temperature ranges between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius, making the summer season most pleasant. You may feel the unbearable cold during the winter season.

Day 2: Sitapur/Guptkashi – Kedarnath

According to the reporting time provided by the helicopter company, leave the hotel and drive to the helipad at Guptkashi/Phata or Sersi for Shri Kedarnath Ji. Reach the heli platform at Kedarnath Ji after 15 mins of flying. Have darshan, perform pooja and seek the blessing of Lord Shiva. Spend some time in the surroundings of the temple and the mesmerising climate. One can stay overnight at Kedarnath ji or can return to Sitapur/Guptakshi for the stay.

Kedarnath: The Kedarnath shrine is one of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and is a place of utmost importance among Hindus. Kedar is a name of Lord Shiva. As per various sculptures, the Pandavas, after the victory over the Kauravas in the Mahabharata Battle, felt guilty of having killed their own cousins and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva so as to get themselves free from this evil work. Shiva was angry with the Pandavas, and therefore, he was not in the mood to meet them. Therefore, Lord Shiva got converted into the form of a bull. But Bhim recognised him. At the same time, Shiva started disappearing into the ground, but Bhim tried pushing him out. During the process, Hump remained outside. The Shivalinga in Kedarnath today is actually that hump.

Kedarnath Weather: Generally, cold throughout the year because of the higher altitude. Even during the summer, the temperature does not cross 20 degrees Celsius. It’s the most pleasant period. However, during the winter, you may feel the severe cold as the temperature may go down to 0 degrees Celsius or even less.

Day 3: Kedarnath – Sitapur – Haridwar (250 Kms | 8-9 hrs)

Option 1 – If stayed in Kedarnath:Early morning checkoutfrom the Kedarnath hotel and reach the helipad. Aboard the helicopter and fly back to Sersi/Guptakashi/Phata Helipad. Get transferred to the vehicle and drive towards Haridwar. En route, visit Rudraprayag, Dhari Devi Temple, Dev Prayag and Rishikesh. Later drop at the guest’s desired place for the onwards journey.
