Day-by-Day Itinerary: Amarnath Yatra Package From Jammu via Baltal (4N/5D)

Day 01: Jammu–Srinagar

Our services start upon your arrival at Jammu; you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to Srinagar. Start the journey to Srinagar. Enjoy the hilly terrain of NH 1A, India’s largest tunnel; on the way, visit Patnitop, a famous tourist destination. Evening reach Srinagar. Overnight stay in Srinagar Hotel.

Day 02: Srinagar–Sonamarg (night stay).

In the morning after breakfast, a full-day excursion to Sonamarg, which is the most beautiful drive from Srinagar. On the way we stop at many beautiful spots. Continue drive to Sonamarg 2690 Mtr (Meadow of Gold). One can ride on a horse to visit Thajiwas Glacier, where snow remains round the year, and Sonamarg is known as the Gateway of Ladakh. Overnight and dinner in the hotel.

Day 03: Sonamarg – Neelgrath – Holy Cave – Panjtarni (Night Stay)

Wake up early (around 3:00–4:00 AM) as today is the most sacred day of your Amarnath Yatra. After a light breakfast, our cab will take you from Sonamarg to the Baltal base camp (approximately 15 km, 30 minutes). From Baltal, you will board the helicopter to Panjtarni helipad (the helicopter ride is approximately 8–10 minutes and offers stunning aerial views of the Himalayan peaks and glaciers).

From Panjtarni, it is a short 6 km trek (or pony/palki available at extra cost) to the holy Amarnath Cave at an altitude of 3,888 meters. Upon arrival at the sacred cave, you will witness the divine natural ice Shiva Lingam — formed by frozen drop water — alongside the ice formations of Mata Parvati and Lord Ganesha. Pilgrims perform puja and take blessings at this holiest of shrines.

After darshan, return to Panjtarni by trek or pony. You will spend the night in a tent at Panjtarni camp (arranged by Epic Yatra). Dinner will be served at the camp.

Day 04: Panjtarni – Neelgrath – Sonamarg – Srinagar (Night Stay)

After visiting the Darshan, return back to Sonamarg .the same day drive to Srinagar. The distance between Baltal and Srinagar is approximately 4 hours. Transfer to Srinagar Afternoon leave Visit to famous Mughal Gardens Chashma Shahi, Nishat, and Shalimar Mughal were laid out in the 16th century, and these fall along the bank of Dal Lake in the heart of Srinagar city, and Shankaracharya Temple is on a hillock. Pari Mahal, Botanical Garden, evening visit to the market, and stay at the hotel.

Day 05: Srinagar – Patnitop – Jammu (290 km, 6/7 Hrs.)

After breakfast start the journey to Jammu. Enjoy the hilly terrain of NH 1A, India’s largest tunnel; on the way, visit Patnitop, a famous tourist destination. Evening reach Jammu. Drop off at Jammu Railway Stn/Airport/Hotel/Home.
