The journey begins in Delhi, where you will board a train bound for Dehradun. From Dehradun, you will take a bus or jeep to Mussoorie, where you will begin your trek to Yamunotri. The trek itself is relatively easy and can be completed in a day. However, if you want to take your time and enjoy the scenery, it is best to split the trek into two days. Once you reach Yamunotri, you will be rewarded with stunning views of the Himalayan mountains. If you are lucky, you may even spot some wildlife along the way. After taking some time to soak in the beauty of your surroundings, you will begin your descent back to Delhi. After an overnight journey from Delhi, we reached Haridwar early morning. From there, we took a shared jeep to Barkot which is the last town in Uttarakhand before the Yamunotri region. The drive from Haridwar to Barkot was very scenic as we drove through forests and small towns. We reached Barkot by afternoon and checked into our hotel. The next morning, we started our journey to Yamunotri. We took a shared jeep to Janki Chatti which is the starting point of the trek to Yamunotri. The trek was about 5 km and it took us around 3 hours to reach Yamunotri. The views on the trek were amazing and we even saw some snowfall on the way.

First Devotees spent some time at the temple then started our journey back to Janki Chatti. We reached Janki Chatti by evening and stayed there for the night. The next morning, we started our journey back to Delhi and reached home by evening.

There are many things to do in Yamunotri. Visitors can explore the temples, hike to the source of the Yamuna River, take a dip in the hot springs, or simply enjoy the scenic beauty of the area. On arrival at Delhi Airport / Railway Station, meet our representative and get transferred to respected vehicle. Later start the yatra by driving towards Haridwar. By reaching at Haridwar, check-in to the hotel and get refreshed. Attend the divine Ganga aarti at Har ki Pauri by evening and if time permits visit Mansa Devi temple too. Return back to hotel for the Dinner and Overnight stay.

Haridwar: Haridwar means “Hari Ka Dwar” or the “gateway to the almighty Lord”. Belongs to the Jagatpalak “Vishnu”, this place is highly auspicious where you feel the real divine power and spirituality. Located on the banks of River Ganges, this is the one of holiest destination for organizing the Kumbh. Also, it’s the place having the most auspicious Har Ki Pauri which belongs to the Saint god Bharathi, and the King Vikarma (belongs to Vikram Vetal). Therefore, it’s the place you must visit for at least once.

After hearty breakfast at hotel, check-out from the Haridwar between 7:00 – 8:00 AM and proceed to Barkot via Mussoorie. En-route experience the exquisiteness of Kempty falls and beautiful hills. On arrival check-in to the hotel in Barkot for Overnight stay with Dinner.

Barkot Weather: The sweat summer has the temperature range between 25 to 30 degree Celsius. During the winter, the temperature may go down to 5 to 10 degree Celsius though, but you may feel pleasantly cool during the day time.

Early morning by 5 AM leave the hotel and drive to Jankichatti / Phoolchatti. From here start the trek to have the darshan of Yamunotri (6kms). If required you can opt the service of hiring horse or Doli at your own cost. By reaching take the holy bath at Jamunabai Kund’s TtaptKund (Hot water spring). Later have the darshan of Yamunotri Ji and spend the time in the temple surrounding. Then trek down to Jankichatti & catch the vehicle, drive towards Barkot. Return back to hotel for overnight stay.

Yamunotri Temple: This most auspicious temple belongs to the Goddess Yamuna. As per belief, she is the daughter of God Son and the sister of Yam and Lord Shani. Therefore, doing the worship here gives you a lot more than the feelings of real spirituality and Divine power. Here, you get the blessing of courage and confidence. Also, the fear of facing difficulties and getting death moves away from you. In addition to, the “Lord of Justice” Shani forgives your bad Karmas or gives you very lesser punishment during the Sadhe-Sati and Dhaiya Period.

Surya Kund: This hot water spring belongs to the Sun God. It’s one of the naturally very hot water Kund, therefore, if you are visiting here for the very first time, you may get it a bit difficult to have a dip here, but things get normal automatically latter on. Taking the holy dip here washes out all your sins, and generates the divine nature in you. Also, devotees Potatoes and Rice here with the temperature of this Water. They offer that to the temple.

Divya Shila: This holy stone pillar is near the Yamunotri temple and the Surya Kund. This 3000 m tall stone pillar is so much auspicious that before entering the Yamunotri temple, devotees must worship the holy pillar.

Yamunotri Weather: During summer, the temperature ranges between 10 to 18 degree Celsius, and the day times are very pleasant however, but you may feel the nail-biting cold at night.

Depart from Barkot hotel between 9 AM to 10 AM and proceed the drive towards Haridwar. The route will make you fall in love for hills and the surroundings of green mountains. On arrival at Haridwar, check-in at the hotel and fresh n up. Evening attend Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri, if time permits visit Mansa Devi Temple. Return back to hotel for Dinner & Overnight stay.

It is located in the foothill of holy Himalaya and along with the convergence of holy Ganga and the Chandrabhage river. Neelkanth Mahadev Temple, Triveni Ghat, and lot more devotional and spiritual places are here to make to feel the real peace and divine values. Therefore, you must visit this place whenever possible.

After hearty breakfast, depart from Haridwar and drive towards Delhi, to end the divine journey. On arrival get dropped at the guest location/Airport/Railway Station for the onwards journey.
